Hunters Glen
Hunters Glen an upscale neighborhood on the Eastside and offers the best of all possible worlds. It is about 10 minutes from the downtown Redmond and the 520 freeway, but it has the feeling of being miles away in the country. Served by two main entrances off of Union Hill Road, the expansive, meandering streets splayed with acre-plus home sites and the seemingly endless miles of emerald green lawns surrounded by tall cedars give you the feeling that you have room to breathe and stretch out.
Hunters Glen was built by John Buchan in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. Although brothers John and William Buchan ran separate companies, they both enjoy a great reputation for being quality home builders with attention to detail.
With a little over 100 homes, they range in size from 2700 to 5000+ square feet. These beautiful homes offer such amenities as 3-5 bedrooms, beautiful wood-paneled studies, dual staircases, and bonus and media rooms. You’ll find details like wood-beamed ceilings, coffered and cove ceilings with crown moldings, hardwood floors and masonry fireplaces with brick and marble surrounds.
Hunters Glen has more to offer than beautiful homes on estate-sized lots, community spirit and a convenient location. It also has a neighborhood trail system that transects the area. In addition, the neighborhood is served by the Lake Washington School District and the highly acclaimed Emily Dickinson Elementary School. Emily Dickinson is the sister school to Laura Ingalls Wilder Elementary and enjoys the same wonderful reputation and parent-teacher involvement.
